How to Play Twister on the Playground
Playing Twister outdoors is a fantastic way to get children moving, laughing, and improving their coordination. It’s a versatile game that can be easily adapted to different ages, abilities, and group sizes.
🔹 Step 1: Gather the Players
Decide on the number of participants—from individual practice for balance and coordination to competitive team play. Larger groups can take turns or rotate through a team-based format, ensuring everyone gets involved.
🔹 Step 2: Choose a Leader
A teacher, student, or leader calls out instructions—“Left hand, blue!”—to guide players through the game. Traditionally, a spinner is used, but a leader’s voice works just as well in a school setting.
🔹 Step 3: Follow the Instructions
Players must place their hands and feet on the correct coloured circles. As the game continues, players will need to stretch, twist, and balance while maintaining their position.
🔹 Step 4: Aim of the Game
The goal is to stay balanced without falling or touching the ground with any other body part. The last player standing is the winner!
